Pink Floyd founder Syd Barrett, who famously left the band, being replaced by David Gilmour before the band's massive hit "Dark Side of the Moon," died a few days ago of unknown complications. He had been a diabetic for years.Barrett had a history of mental illness that was heightened by his massive acid use, and spent the last couple of decades as a recluse. He will be missed throughout the rock and roll community, whom he influenced greatly in his singing, song-writing and guitar style. Rest in peace Syd Barrett. We hear God's got some pretty good stuff for you to try.
